Miss me?

It's been a couple weeks since my last post, so there's a lot to catch up on. First off, here's how I spent the last weekend in August and Labor Day weekend in a picture montage:

Setting up my classroom before students arrived. My kids came with me once and this is what they did when I said, "act like students." Fitting.

Then they did this. Also fitting.

I took Lane to her first soccer game. They lost, but she never lost her enthusiasm.

Another game. They won. Doesn't she look great? I wish she loved soccer as much as I do. Maybe she'll come around.

I took the kids to the park too. Usually when Lane has practice, Vin and I will run around the fields and kick the soccer ball around until he gets bored and wants to play at the park. Then I fly solo.

Boating on Salem Pond with my family. Weather turned bad fast, so they didn't get to boat very long.

Grandpa taking kids out on the water. We all learned how to fish this summer and were practicing at the pond too. No one caught anything.

Riding bikes at the park on Labor Day. You can't see it very well here, but the trees in the mountains are starting to turn fall colors already! It's gorgeous. It's the perfect time to hike in the canyon.

 I haven't done my measurements this week yet, but here's my measurements from last week:

Pre-Paleo Measurements:

Weight:164 lbs.
Waist: 31 & 1/2"
Hips: 44"
Thighs: 26 & 1/2"
Arms: 12"

Paleo Week 3 Results:

Weight: 160 lbs.     [- 4 lbs.]
Waist: 29 & 1/4"     [- 2 & 1/4"]
Hips: 43"                [- 1"]
Thighs: 25 & 1/2"   [- 1"]
Arms: 12"               [ - 0]

This is how I feel after a good workout.
Workouts over the last couple weeks:



Thurs., Aug. 23rd: 4.4K or 2 & 3/4 miles. (I track these workouts on  my phone with SportsTracker. I highly recommend the app. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't do the conversions to miles. I have to do that online.)
Sat., Aug. 25th: 35 min. 4 x 4 workout + "sexy legs" workout from Pinterest.
Tues., Aug. 28th: Soccer training for 35 minutes.
Wed., Aug. 29th: 6.48K or 4 miles.
Sat., Sept. 1st: 45 min."tank top arms""sexy legs" workout from Pinterest
Mon., Sept. 3rd: 7.41K or 4 & 1/2 miles.
Tuesday, Sept 4th: Soccer training for 49 minutes, a total of 4.22K or 2 & 1/2 miles.



Paleo Chocolate Chip Cookies

I added coconut and pecans to the recipe. Kids loved them.
